The Grange Primary & Nursery
School Choir

Music plays a powerful role in education, and at The Grange Primary School, our school choir stands as a shining example of how creativity and collaboration bring learning to life.

Open to pupils from across Key Stage 2, the Grange Choir meets weekly to rehearse a wide-ranging repertoire—from upbeat pop classics to seasonal favourites and traditional songs from around the world. Our choir sessions build confidence, develop vocal skills, and strengthen teamwork in a fun, supportive environment.
Performing is a key part of the experience. The choir regularly takes centre stage at school events including assemblies, celebrations, and our annual Christmas and summer concerts. Beyond the school gates, we’re proud to represent The Grange at local festivals, community events, and joint performances with other schools. These opportunities help children grow as performers and deepen their sense of belonging to something bigger.

Our choir is open to all children with a love of singing—no auditions, just enthusiasm required. It’s a space where voices are heard, talents are nurtured, and every member plays a vital part.

Whether your child is already a confident singer or simply curious to give it a go, the Grange Choir will welcome them with open arms. For more information or to join, please contact the school office.

Young Voices 2025

Choir will be performing at The CO-OP Live Arena in Manchester as part of the largest children’s choir in the world. We are also lucky to be attending on the day Young Voices are celebrating the life of Bob Marley and recoding live from the Arena.

Voices around the world will unite remotely to sing the “Marley Magic” medley—a specially arranged selection of Bob Marley’s greatest hits, including “One Love,” “Jamming’,” “Three Little Birds,” and more! Led by an 8,000-strong choir live from Co-op Live in Manchester, this moment celebrates Marley’s legacy of love, unity, and peace.

Full details regarding transport and collection will be sent home in a letter.

All choir members will benefit from additional practice at home, alongside weekly choir sessions. If you have

signed up to the young voices page you can access all of the resources at home. Alternatively, I have saved them here.
