At The Grange Nursery, we believe that every child deserves the very best start in life. We are committed to creating a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where children feel happy, safe, valued and inspired to learn.

Our aim is to help every child become a confident, curious and independent learner, developing the skills, knowledge and positive attitudes they need to thrive. We encourage children to explore, discover and learn through meaningful experiences, while celebrating their individuality and supporting them to reach their full potential.

We also understand that children’s emotional wellbeing is just as important as their learning. We nurture self-esteem, resilience and confidence, giving children the strong foundations they need to develop into happy, capable and well-rounded individuals.

Through a high-quality and engaging curriculum, a caring and stimulating environment, and strong partnerships with families, we work together to ensure every child feels supported and encouraged throughout their nursery journey.

At The Grange Nursery, we are proud to help children learn, grow, flourish and develop a lifelong love of learning.

The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum underpins all future learning, and we employ a rigorous and systematic approach to teaching each of the 7 statutory areas of learning and development:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development,
  • Communication and Language,
  • Physical Development,
  • Literacy,
  • Mathematics,
  • Understanding the World and
  • Expressive art and Design.

Our carefully planned curriculum and learning environment aims to expose children to high quality experiences, through a mix of adult focused and child-initiated activities. Planning is topic based but is also flexible to allow practitioners to respond to developing interests and dispositions.

Our topics for the school year are:

Autumn 1 – Ourselves

Autumn 2 – Celebrations

Spring 1 – Traditional Tales

Spring 2 – Superheroes/People Who Help Us

Summer 1 – Growth

Summer 2 – Animals

Throughout the school year, photographs of the children’s learning and experiences will be added to the EYFS curriculum page.
