School Day

The school year consists of 190 teaching days and 6 INSET (staff training) days.

School Day

08.45 – 12.15       Morning session

12.15 – 13.00    Lunch

13.00-15.15      Afternoon session

A typical school week lasts 32.5 hours.

Nursery Day

08.30 – 11.30       Morning session

11.30 – 12.00    Lunch

12.00 – 3.00      Afternoon session

All children have an entitlement to begin each day’s learning in their classrooms at 8.35am, ten minutes prior to the official school starting time.

By 8.45a.m. all children must be in class ready for the register to be taken and to start work.

A breakfast service is available from 8.00 a.m.

Children are not permitted to arrive at school before 8.00 a.m.
